HOCL's Hypochlorous occurs naturally in the human immune system to combat pathogens. It's produced through the process of electrochemical activation (ECA). In this process, a saline solution (water and salt) is passed through an electrochemical cell, which splits it into two streams: an anolyte rich in HOCL and a catholyte, which is typically a mild alkaline solution.
